Have you ever cracked your knuckles?

Hmm… cracking knuckles, seems silly and harmless, right?

I am sure that we do this very often and sometimes it’s just for time pass. I do, don’t know about others. But it’s really a bad habit which will make your knuckle unhealthy and the consequences of years of knuckle cracking can enlarge your knuckles and deforming your hands. I came across one article in the web

I will try to post some photographs later…

How does it work?

All the joints are the connecting end of 2 bones held together by connective tissues and ligaments, filled by synovial fluid, a thick and clear fluid. You are making these joints of the bones to pull apart when you stretch or bend fingers to pop the knuckle. Doing this will make your tissue capsule to increase its volume, as a result the pressure of the synovial fluid drops, this will cause forming bubbles inside the capsule. Once these joints are stretched enough these bubbles burst due to low pressure. It takes another 30 to 45 minutes for the gas to re-dissolve in the synovial fluid which makes your knuckle not to crack for sometime

My Latest Smoking Experience

Recently, I started smoking after a long 10 years of break and found it was bit interesting for few days. A couple of problems aroused sooner like, lack of concentration, being short-tempered, nervousness, bad breath, drowsy etc. Anyway, it’s quiet easy for me to stop as I did it only for few days.

Smoking and Smokeless Tobacco
Tobacco is a plant that can be smoked in cigarettes, pipes, or cigars. It’s the same plant that’s in smokeless tobacco, known as dip, chew, and snuff, spit, or chewing tobacco. Smokeless tobacco is not lit or inhaled like tobacco in cigarettes, pipes, and cigars. Instead, smokeless tobacco is put between the lip and gum and sucked on inside the mouth.

Tobacco contains nicotine, a chemical that causes a tingly or pleasant feeling, but that feeling only lasts for a little while. Nicotine is also addictive. That means that if you start to use nicotine, your body and mind will become so used to it that you’ll need to have it just to feel good or comfortable. Anyone who starts smoking could become addicted to it. If you’re addicted to something, it’s very hard to stop doing it, even if you want to.

Try to stop your smoking habit at least for sometime and feel the real difference. You will never start smoking. If you can manage for 2 weeks somehow, I am sure you will never do it again

Is Peanut good for Blood Sugar?

I received a mail from one of my friends today and it was a kind of spam mail. But the information provided in that email was quiet surprising and I don’t know how far it is true also. It says that eating peanut will maintain your blood sugar.

After reading this, I had a quick search on Google and found below article. I thought of posting it here. Please read it, I found it quiet interesting

Talking Like a Manager

If you want to advance in management you have to convince other people that you are smart. This is accomplished by substituting incomprehensible jargon for common words

For example, a manager would never say, " I used my fork to eat a potato." A manager would say, " I utilized a multi-tined tool to process a starch resource." :)

J. Krishnamurti with Dr. Allan W. Anderson Discussion

"The teachings are not something out there in a book; what the teachings say is, 'Look at yourself, go into yourself, inquire into what is there, understand it, go beyond it', and so on. The teachings are only a means of pointing, explaining, but you have to understand, not the teachings, but yourself." Jiddu Krishnamurti

The Secret Key to Your Happiness

The Secret Key to happiness is just decide that you are going to be happy now, no matter what it is, Just decide, even if you don’t have any reason to be happy, make it up, fantasize it. Take a decision that you are going to be happy one way or another.

“I am going to be happy, if I don’t do this thing, or if I don’t see that person’s face, or if I don’t talk to that guy, or if I take a hot bath in the morning, or if I play this music, or if I see his/her face in the morning, or if I take a leave from work today.” So, you decide what’s going to be making you happy. You can find happiness everywhere, you have to explore it

Make good intensions for the day. This is a great technique to your happiness
• I want to be happy today
• I want to feel good today
• No matter where I am, No matter what I am doing, No matter with whom, I want to be happy today
• I want to be thankful today
• I want to be sincere today
• I want to do things that makes me happy today

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) says that the positive ‘Self-Talk’ is the best practice for personal development. If you can stay purely focused upon any thought for as little as 70 seconds, the vibration is powerful enough that its manifestation starts.

So, let us focus on “I want to be happy today”. Try it out, it works
